If you’re new here, my name is Melissa Sheffer, and I love inspiring teaching with all things STEM, technology, and organization.
For the last 5 years, I have been teaching 5th grade in Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching full-time, I serve as our grade level coordinator and technology go-to teacher in my school.
Initially, I started out giving STEM lessons, technology tips, and organization ideas to teachers within my building and district. Since then, I have begun to create a community of teachers that are looking to make each day in their classroom easier with simple actionable steps.
I would love to have you join my community!
No matter where you are in the educator space, you can stay up to date on all of the things by following me on social media.
You’re In The Right Place If…
- Looking to incorporate STEM into your classroom? STEM is multifaceted with incorporating science, technology, engineering, and math into one area within your classroom. Although, at first it can seem daunting, it is easy to include STEM components and activities into your elementary classroom. Brought to life by the wonderful ladies at Vivify STEM, I take STEM from a three tiered approach.
- We all know how much teachers are responsible for each and every single day. However, ensuring you have organizational systems set up to help you be the most efficient as possible is key. Check out how I keep material and digital items organized within my own classroom!
- Whether you are a tech guru or a novice learner, there are so many ways that technology can aid you within your classroom. Whether it be a digital platform like Google Classroom, navigating Google Suite programs, or all the resources the web has to support you as a classroom teacher.
